KEN -INTRODUCTIONS-

Audio of myself reading the passage below.

-Introductions-

Ken is a looming individual who seems to intimidate men, yet make women stare unceremoniously. He isn’t playing off either of those facts, currently, but he is very good at manipulating both reactions when he needs to. He holds himself in a cocky way because he likes the trouble it brings along with it. His consciousness is always searching for the next interesting situation, minuscule or not. Underneath all the expression, he is ready to slip into any role he deems necessary.

He seems to thrive in the dynamic scene around him. Music plays and people try to talk over the music, exchanging stories and opinions. Acting belligerent himself, he chugs his drink, but only for show as it the drink is virgin. The group that forms around him cheers him on; he laughs to himself as the variety of scum talking to him begin to loosen their lips. They start bragging about what scams or thefts they are proud of. He stuck it out as the talks got wilder around him, if he had been drinking he wouldn’t remember a thing they were saying. They talk about cons currently in play, in the past and even future plans. He is itching to sabotage something, but he shows restraint as he listens on, not jumping into anything too quickly.

Finding multiple leads he prefers to narrow it down to something lucrative. He mainly did this for fun, but he is more inclined to take more intrepid cases. He contacts his beneficiary the next day and passes along the names gathered the night before. He wants to see if any active bounties or reward posts on their heads came to light. He had multiple hits and was weighing the odds of difficulty against the payout of each of the targets as he tries to reach a decision. He also likes bigger payouts because he self-finances his endless escapades, and the two types of jobs rarely coincided with one another. Those who explore things they shouldn’t don’t typically have as high of a price on their head as a mass murderer.

“Enjoy the thrill.”
